Dance, Dance, Dance

Aynslee started dance class a couple weeks ago and absolutely loved it! She had been asking to do it for several years and I finally decided to pursue it. After getting her enrolled she decided she didn't want to do it anymore though b/c I explained that if I was going to pay as much money as I was for her recital then she was going to do it (she has been known to not perform on stage when in front of a lot of people so I wanted to make this clear). She finally decided to do it though and she absolutely loved her 1st class! She made a new friend right before class started so that helped too! She listened very well and picked up very quickly on the dance steps she was taught--they are learning both tap and ballet!! She had to miss her class last week since she was sick and was absolutely devastated so we decided to go to the class yesterday afternoon so she could make it up. Big mistake--she wouldn't go out on the floor at all and just stood there the entire time either crying, throwing a fit, or with her arms crossed. In her defense it was a different teacher, different kids, and on the other side of the wall from where he class is and this girl does not adjust to change well! So after fighting her for the majority of the class time, I was finally told I might as well just take her home and try again on Tues. I was humiliated!!! She later told me that she didn't want to do it b/c it was a different teacher but that she is ready to go back on Tues. I don't have any pics yet but will take some on Tues of her in her little tutu!!
